*Of course someone is dying of a stupid fucking poison with no real cure. Of course it's Jo, too, who Zero likes, and doesn't want Gen or Nicolas to look over her even though that'd be the smartest option, because Tomo doesn't know shit about the actual application of anomalous medication, and knows only about the production of it. Nicolas would know. Gen would know.* So fucking stupid. *He's not dressed up. He didn't have time to put all the stupid princess shit on, and honestly didn't care to. He tried calling. Voicemail. Three times. So he'll just show up instead. Gen sent him the schedule of meetings. He knows the building. They know him. It's easier and faster to do it this way. He stared at his phone as he waited for the train to arrive at his stop. God, this fucking sucks. It's so stupid. Zero owes him. He's almost at the stop when his phone buzzes with a text. It's simple, but firm. If it's an emergency, reply with Yes. If it's not, reply with No. He rolls his eyes. So fucking stupid.* Yes. (edited)

*Understood. Do you have your ID? If you do, reply with Yes. If you do not, reply with No. of course not. Please repeat your response. If you do, reply with Yes. If not, please reply with No. ur shit gets stupider every goddamn day Language. Tell the receptionist to give you office access. The code is 718951458. u added a 5. let me guess, 'ko'? Correct. Two minutes and 12 seconds. I'll add it to the record. please dont. He's already fed up by the time he reaches the building. It's larger than he remembers, but just as stupid looking. Ugh. The receptionist didn't look at him as she called out Welcome in!, her voice bright and bubbly and irritating in a way Tomo couldn't be fucked to place just yet. He walked up to the counter and shoved his phone in his pocket.* Office access. Don't bother asking him about it. 7-1-8-9-5-1-4-5-8, which is stupid, by the way. Anyone with half a brain can figure out that code. *The receptionist's smile drops for just a moment as she processes whatever Tomosei just said, her eyes taking in the entirety of his appearance as if deciding whether or not she should call security. Instead, she slowly leans over to the phone, asking him to wait for a moment. He refrains from slamming his head into the desk, but only barely.*

*The most irritating thing in the entire world is when you give simple instructions and have them be ignored. He drummed his fingers against the desk as he looked at the messages on his phone, a frown etched on his face as though it was his natural state of being. If you were to ask his employees, it was. He glanced over at a picture on his desk. It is the only thing on it that isn't strictly necessary to his work. Tomosei and Marito side by side, both sitting in the chair he currently occupied. He wondered which one would be visiting him today. The phone rang and he picked it up, pinching the bridge of his nose in thinly veiled frustration as the receptionist described a suspicious looking individual who, as she said, seems as though he obtained the code to your office through suspicious means, and, may be up to no good. Stupid. The word doesn't escape his lips.* Understood. Please send him up to my office. There are two name badges for him in the second drawer from the left. Tomosei Himeji. They are both his. *The receptionist falls silent for a moment, so he hangs up. No point in wasting any time.*

*M-My apologies, Mr Himeji, please forgive me for the wait. Here are your badges. The elevator is on the left. God, she's lucky he doesn't actually give a fuck about what she said. He grabs the badges and scans one to access the elevator, waiting mostly impatiently for it to arrive. He fucking told her not to bother with calling, but she did, so it's her fault she embarrassed herself. Sucks to suck, he guesses. His phone buzzes with another message. He ignores it. Whatever it is his dad had to say, he could certainly say it to his face. It buzzed again. He ignored it again. Tomosei steps out of the elevator, punches in the code to the room, and walks in.* Damn. This place still fucking sucks.

Language, Tomosei. *He doesn't look up from his computer as his son enters the room. He doesn't look up from the computer as Tomosei looks around and comments on.... whatever it is he cares to make a note about, because he knows it's meaningless conversation for the sake of conversation. Ugh. It's the most useless form of conversation. He doesn't wait for Tomosei to finish speaking before he interrupts,* Give me your phone. Vermillion Chime, unknown stage, supervised by two children who aren't medical professionals. Is that correct? *He has questions, and it's useless to wait for his son to type them out and wait for the response to come in. There's a far easier solution, and that's to call. But to call, he needs Tomosei's phone. He looks up and frowns further at the expression on Tomosei's face. Hm. He's unhappy about it.* Call then. Speaker phone. I need to know the stage to decide on the proper treatment. They will have to acknowledge the experimental nature of the treatment as well. I will send you with the forms for them to sign alongside the medication. Will Mister Ai be administering aid, or will Doctor Nicolas be in charge?

Fuck no on the phone front, thanks. Everything else is right. *He crinkles his nose at the demands. The interruption is fine, he doesn't actually give a shit about the bookshelves in the room, but the idea of sitting in silence as his father texts people from school is excruciating. Zero was right. There are things worse than death. The speaker phone idea isn't bad, though. Could be useful. It'd require someone who isn't stupid as shit to be in the room with Jo though, and Tomo wasn't exactly confident in that front.* ..... No, someone else will be doing all the shit necessary or whatever. *He rolls his eyes at his father's third mention of language and continues,* They can do basic stuff. IVs. Pills. Anything else is a no-go. *He pinches the bridge of his nose as he speaks, the irritating stupidity of it all building. God. Fucking stupid. So stupid.* I don't know anything else. They're not exactly experts in their field.

Understood. Contact name? I'll call myself. *He really doesn't understand the stupidity that his son was describing. Why on earth would you avoid going to medical professionals, or, at the very least, those studying in the field? It's unfathomable to him. He feels a headache mounting. He watched as his son seemed to consider the proposal. Ugh. Wasting time. He sends a message to someone. Hums when he recieves it quickly. Good. Someone knows how to get it together.* Look in the cabinet for the files on Vermillion Chime. The lab will have more, but being proactive is better in the long run. I will chat with Mister Yōgai. *He rings the contact he received.* Five minutes, no more.

*He's semi-patient as he listens to his dad on the phone, glad that somebody other than Zero was apparently in the room too. At least there wouldn't be any awkwardness in the call. He is upset that someone else is going to see him, but... whatever. It's not like any of this shit isn't shady as fuck. Hopefully they just won't recognise him, or won't give a fuck, or whatever. He pulls out the folder with the files his father asked for, crinkling his nose.* What floor is the lab in? And the code? *Same floor as last time. Same code as last time.* Real fucking proud of that one, huh? *Yes.* Not gonna change it? *No.* Holy shit, whatever. I'll be back in a second. *You have three minutes. God it's such a pain in the ass. The lab is busy as ever, and boring as ever, and he's pissed that he has to run errands because someone stupidly got themself poisoned. But whatever. It's too fucking late now to go back in time and leave Zero on delivered. He grabs all the things in the file and looks over them to ensure they're the proper dosage and quality, ignoring the stares and whispers of the scientists in tow. Whatever. They can talk till their eyes bleed for all he cares. He doesn't even bother with his stigma. He knows what they're thinking. He's back in the office by the time his father is finished speaking about the prognosis. He held up the small box and jerked his head towards the door, watching as his father set up an artefact similar to the one he used to leave his rooms. Zero's room, Darkwick. Ughhhh.* Thanks, I guess. I'll let you know how it goes.

.... Thank you. I will ensure the personal details remain off the records. *He opens the door and nods his head. Hesitates. Seems to think as if there was something bothering him.* If you call again, I'll answer. Even if it isn't an emergency. However, text first. *He doesn't say the words he wants to say, and his son doesn't hear them regardless. They've both given up on the understanding of one another long ago. He nods again and watches as Tomosei leaves. When the door shuts, and he's alone in his office, he mumbles, quietly,* It was good to see you again.
